Om is really busy these days — breaking news and offering insight. Plus he’s spinning-off tech verticals from GigaOM about video games and workplace issue.
One of the most successful spinoffs is NewTeeVee, the blog about the online video industry and culture. Yesterday, my colleague David Kavanaugh visited the headquarters of GigaOM, located in a converted pier on San Francisco Bay.
David spoke with Om and Liz Gannes, the editor of NewTeeVee. NewTeeVee unveiled a new redesign on Friday. It features a horizontal strip of video players across the top of the page. Since NewTeeVee is about video, it makes a lot of sense to showcase videos in this way.
