Sometimes hanging out at cool Hollywood parties, you can catch a scoop now and again.
Well, I learned at a poolside shindig at the Roosevelt that Richard Rosenblatt, the former CEO of INTERMIX and MySpace, has made a private investment in Vator.TV, the new company headed up by former MarketWatch columnist Bambi Francisco. Bambi left the world of journalism last month, making quite a stir.
Vator.TV is a new business-to-business site that provides entrepreneurs with a platform to make an on-camera pitch for funding. Peter Thiel, a founder of PayPal is another investor in the company.
In this segment, I began to interview Bambi in a poolside cabana when Rich grabbed the mic and did the interview himself! Hey, nice job, Rich!
Rich is not only making investments, but he’s gotten funded recently, himself, to launch Demand Media, a company that is making a big push in marketing .tv domains and social networking tools. Here’s my interview with Rich.
