There is quite a lot of activity in the online video tech news, with many innovators descended from the old TechTV finding themselves in numerous new shows as Om Malik reports.
The latest launch is called WebbAlert with Morgan Webb (l). Morgan is a real pro and her good looks are getting some attention and rave reviews including powerblogger, TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington whose libido is referenced today in Valleywag.
We at Beet.TV think Michael went a little overboard by declaring WebbAlert better than Rocketboom. For goodness sakes, Morgan does a nice job, but she’s basically doing readers of the days tech news, at least at this point.
Well, it’s great to have so many players in the space. I believe that the future of online video news is being incubated and defined right now in the tech space. Very exciting times.
OK, are these online video news personalities sexy, too?
Dan Farber, Om Malik or Robert Scoble?
Update 8/30: Arrington confesses that’s he stayed up to 2 a.m. this morning to see episode #2. He says "It Rocks!" The show is interesting in that it references blogs as news sources and provides visual images of those pages. In an accompanying text, the show page provides links. TechCrunch is credited for its Webvan story.
