There’s been quite a lot of discussion over the last few days about a unified technology protocol for social networks. As the technology standards become settled, more social networks are springing up  all the time.

There have been a number of new, niche-focused entrants in the field.  A few have launched recently that aim at the post-40 year old crowd, including the San Francisco-based TeeDeeBee, which went live in September.  MSN has a round-up story on these new sites.

A couple weeks back, Robin Wolaner, CEO and co-founder of TeeDeeBee came to the Beet.TV studios to give us a little tour of her site.

Update 11/5:  Business Week just published a story about boomer sites.

Full Disclosure:  TeeDeeBee is a client of Plesser Holland public relations.
