The very shape of news is changing. Its becoming more collaborative, produced by experts as well as by a community of readers in a dynamic form, says Eric Hippeau, managing director of Softbank Capital and one of the principal investors in the Huffington Post. Softbank is also an investor in Associated Content, a company that aggregates community comments around news reporting.
Eric is a former news executive himself, having run Ziff Davis Media for several years.
I spoke with Eric earlier this week at the AlwaysOn conference in New York earlier this week.
Eric is a longtime member of the board of directors of Yahoo! Good thing we had time to chat before the big news broke yesterday morning about the Microsoft takeover bid for Yahoo!.
You can grab the video of my interview with Eric right here.
