Richards Rosenblatt, the former CEO of MySpace who launched his network of Web properties titled under Demand Media, has a big hit with eHow, a video site providing "how-to" instructional videos.

According to this story and video by USA Today's Jefferson Graham, eHow has some 52 million monthly users, putting it ahead of CNN.com and Twitter in traffic.

The site only creates content where there is demand, works with videographers on the cheap, and shares advertising revenue.  Sounds like a low cost, highly relevant solution to content creation.

Peter Kafka wrote recently that Demand Media might be more valuable than The New York Times.

I interviewed Richard in May of 2007 at the Roosevelt Hotel, when he announced the launch of Demand Media. He spoke about the business of .tv domain registration.  I have republished my interview below.
