Reuters Insider, a vast business and B2B video site from Thomson Reuters, is launching this week, and Beet.TV is a content partner for the new subscription service.

In his column today in The New York Times, David Carr coins the new service a sort of "YouTube for Traders."  Here's the take on by David Kaplan at paidContent.

We have been working with Thomson Reuters on the beta project for several months and have several hundred clips up on the site.

We manage a simple syndication strategy with specialized Media RSS feed from Blip.tv, our video services platform provider, which then goes directly into Thomson Reuters CMS where each video is is published immediately with a full automated transcript created in minutes.

This service is not open to the public, just the 500,000 financial professionals around the globe who subscribe the Thomson Reuters desktop service. Some subscribers pay up to $2,000 per month.

For Beet.TV, this an important step in getting our content in front of decision makers who watch developments in technology and media closely.
