The New York Times has launched a branding program using online video as the medium for the first time. The campaign launched this week on several sites including Salon, Gothamist, Bloomberg and Comedy Central.

The focus of the campaign is around digital subscriptions to the paper. Yesterday, the paper reported a big rise in digital subscriptions.
The program uses 30-second pre-rolls.
