David Carr, media columnist for The New York Times has been one of the most astute chroniclers of media transformation for quite a while. We have enjoyed reading his view on things since the good old days of Inside.com in the late ’90’s.
David is a Renaissance man; not only does he write features and columns, but he created an acclaimed video blog around the Academy Awards time called the Carpetbagger.
I caught up with him today outside the headquarters of The New York Times to ask him about media transformation and the emergence of vlogs. He was quite proud of his vlog. Despite looking "like a homeless person" wandering Times Square with his camera, he really enjoyed the project. He sees an inevitable transformation of the media and is pleased to be a part of it, as are we.
