SAN FRANCISCO — Driven by political and economic events and changing consumption patterns, Web video is becoming increasingly news-centric, according to Charlie Tillinghast, president of msnbc.com and Olivia Ma, manager of news at YouTube.
Olivia told the Beet.TV Online Video Roundtable this morning that views for news and political videos were up 600 percent in 2008.
I photographed the two news execs earlier today.
We will be publishing dozens of videos from the event and one-on-one interviews of all the panelists over the next few weeks. For two stories on the event, check out Josh Lowensohn's report on CNET.com and Liz Gannes over at NewTeeVee.
Thanks to Liz Gannes for co-moderating, to our wonderful panel, the folks at Ustream who streamed it and our hosts at Adobe.
