As publishers consider creating mobile video Apps vs maximizing their mobile Web for video, Apps provide a valuable, persistent connection with the most loyal and valued fans.

This is the view of Bob Mason, co-founder and CTO of Brightcove, the big online video platform company which has implemented a mobile App for the Financial Times.

Mason was panelist at the Beet.TV Online Video Roundtable at MSNBC in New York in June.  Also in this segment is co-moderator Peter Kafka and panelist Mark Marvel, head of video at msnbc.com
