TEL AVIV – Israel-based video start-up Magisto is simplifying video editing with a platform that analyzes and edits video automatically. In this video interview, Magisto CEO Oren Boiman discusses the difficulties of video editing and why today more than ever there is a need for an easier solution.
Boiman explains that he experienced the difficulty of video editing firsthand when his daughter was born. He and his wife shot a lot of video of their newborn baby, but when it came time to edit it together it took them nearly two weeks. Boiman discovered that, "this is something which is way to difficult for the average person," and he set out to find an easy alternative.
In the video, Boiman introduces Magisto, which offers an automatic video solution on the web, iPhone and YouTube. Unlike other simple consumer video editing solutions like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, Magisto analyzes users' footage and cuts it together automatically. Videos are hosted in the cloud so they can be shared and viewed from any device.
