Multi-platform arts video network Ovation, announced Kaltura as its video management and distribution platform.
The partnership is an innovative deployment of Kaltura's Open Source video technology, says co-founder, David Shay, in this interview with Beet TV.
Ovation publishes content on artistic story telling and broadcasts in standard and high definition to more than 51 million homes across the country, via cable, DIRECT TV, Dish, Verizon Fios, AT&T U-verse, its own website and online channels such as YouTube.
The Open Source technology will allow Ovation's video content to be edited, ingested, transcoded, published and distributed in one click, while providing immediate analytics of program performance. The network's Chief Operating Officer, Chad Gutstein says, Kaltura offers a flexible framework and a future-proofed solution.
In this video interview, Shay explains its value for reaching new audiences and application for larger media organizations.
