This Saturday’s Rolling Stones concert at Newark’s Prudential Center will be available as a pay-per-view event on cable and satellite, but in something of a first, it will be available on digital devices including PC’s, smart phones and tablets.
Powering the global digital distribution is Neulion, the New York videos services platform that manages video delivery for a number of sports leagues and other customers.
For an overview of the plan, we spoke with Chris Wagner, EVP. We interviewed him last week at the VideoNuze conference where he was a speaker.
Fans can access the “One Last Shot” concert digital pay per view directly from rollingstones.com/watch and music.yahoo.com
In the U.S., the price is $39.95 which includes the live stream and the show on demand for 30 days.
More on the streaming efforts around the Stones concert in this report by Mike Snider at USA Today.
