AMSTERDAM — TV and online video are colliding – and the result will benefit both sides, according to an exec at the epicenter.
“We’re starting to see the convergence between the digital landscape and broadcast gather momentum,” video technology platform Brightcove‘s EMEA media VP Luke Gaydon tells Beet.TV in this video interview at IBC. “Broadcasters are taking an increasingly digital-centric view to how they distribute and monetize their content.
“You start to really see the value of the rich experience from the broadcast sector with the value that the internet can bring – data, analytics, reporting and tracking.
“The result of that is a more valuable product for content distributors and advertisers and a better experience for the audience. It’s a good time for us to be where we are.”
