The team of NBCU’s award-winning, 30-year old public service unit The More You Know, has galvanize the network’s executives and talent for a highly visible public service announcement around the COVID-19 crisis.
The campaign is a collaboration with the Ad Council, The White House, the CDC and the Department of Health and Human Services. It is being shown on several NBCU properties and via inventory made available by NBC advertisers and publishing partners.
Unlike most PSA’s produced at NBC, this one was very personal. It involves an effort around a crisis that is impacting everyone, says two network executives involved with the project: Steven Rummer SVP, Marketing & Creative, and Miguel Enrique Rodriguez, SVP. We spoke with them remotely at their homes last week.

The campaign is being supported by many of NBCU’s advertisers and ad-tech providers including Acxiom; Cadent; Canoe; Crossix; Epsilon; Experian; Facebook; Panera Bread; ShareThis; Snap Inc; The Trade Desk; T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods; and Vizio-Inscape. The have donated commercial airtime, service fees, data and/or distribution on their own platforms to run the NBCUniversal-created Ad Council PSAs.
