LAS VEGAS — Xumo now powers streaming for Comcast, Charter, Mediacom, Cox, and more, while also delivering over 2,000 streaming apps and channels across various devices.

The recently introduced Xumo Stream Box aims to further enhance the viewer experience by combining popular apps, cable provider content, and Xumo’s own AVOD channels into a single, easily searchable interface.

Leveraging algorithms, machine learning, and AI, the device enables users to quickly find desired content, such as every episode of a specific show, across all available apps.

Transparency and actionable insights for advertisers

“Our advertising partners really care about outcomes, and we reach the folks with a ton of buying power,” Eli Zang, VP of Sales, Xumo noted, in this video interview with Julian Zilberbrand for Beet.TV. These audiences include cord-cutters, cord-shavers, and those supplementing their cable subscriptions with additional streaming options.

Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, Xumo is prioritizing the development of engaging ad formats that go beyond the traditional 30-second spot. The company is working internally and with partners to create interactive experiences, such as “squeeze backs”, that encourage viewer engagement while providing valuable insights to advertisers.

“Our viewer experience is the most important priority for us as we continue to grow our viewer base,” the executive emphasized.

Reaching incremental audiences

Xumo delivers an incremental audience, saying 95% of households are reached in addition to linear television campaigns. Zang stressed that many Xumo users maintain their cable subscriptions while also seeking expanded streaming options.

“It’s really important for advertisers to look at and diversify their portfolio and look at where the audiences is going and who they want to reach and the buying power of those incremental audiences which should be valued at a lot, a lot more for them,” he advised.
