The Wall Street Journal's twice-daily, 8-minute show the News Hub, expanded this week with a live report on Monday's Apple earnings.  It was the first live Web video program around earnings. On Tuesday, the paper did a Webcast on Yahoo.

Last month, the Wall Street Journal launched an initiative around live video programming, with a twice daily, eight-minute show titled The News Hub, originating from the paper's newsroom.

YouTube will stream the OutsideLand’s music festival from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park this weekend.  It is the first music festival streamed the big video sharing site.

Today, Livestream, a live Web video services provider, announced an integration with Brightcove.  It also announced the availability of its API.

We are here at the Blip.tv news event and demo of the new web site, Mike Hudack, CEO and co-founder, said that producers on Blip.tv can syndicate videos directly to YouTube with Blip.tv managing advertising sales of these syndicated shows.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif — While the convenience factor of watch-when-you-want has made Web video popular, live events are also luring big audiences on the Web, Stickam's Program Director Andy Wombwell told Beet.TV at the NATPE LA TV Fest earlier this month.

Live video, one of the fastest growing areas of the Web, could get a big boost with Facebook's integration with Ustream.  It's part of a new Facebook application called Live Stream Box.
